2019 State Roundtable Report

“Creating Trauma Informed and Responsive Dependency Courtrooms” – This report focuses on two primary sources of education:  A statewide in-person training on “Creating a Trauma Informed and Responsive Courtroom;” and an educational video, on the same, for Judges, Juvenile Court Hearing Officers and Legal Professionals.  In addition, this report highlights resources to support solicitors, parent attorneys and Guardians ad Litem in preparing their clients for court in a way that helps reduce their client’s stress and anxiety. To view the report, click the picture to the right.

2018 State Roundtable Report

“Creating Trauma Informed and Responsive Dependency Courtrooms” – This report details efforts made by the Workgroup in 2017-2018.  The report details the creation of a training video on the trauma-informed dependency courtroom, including the contents within the video.   In addition, other efforts of the workgroup are outlined, such as the completion of a trauma benchcard and efforts to create a resource guide.   Click the picture on the right to access the full 2018 State Roundtable Report.”

2017 State Roundtable Report

“Creating Trauma Informed and Responsive Dependency Courtrooms” – This report details efforts made by the Workgroup in 2016-2017.  The report details the efforts of the workgroup to develop a video on the trauma-informed dependency courtroom.   Other efforts of the workgroup, such as an educational session and resource guide, are also discussed.   Click the picture on the right to access the full 2017 State Roundtable Report.

2016 State Roundtable Report

“Creating Trauma Informed and Responsive Dependency Courtrooms” – This report details efforts made by the Workgroup in 2015-2016.  Highlights of the report include updates on piloting the Alternative Dispute Resolution model Facilitation and the results of a survey for dependency/child welfare professionals. 2015 State Roundtable Report

“Creating Trauma Informed and Responsive Dependency Courtrooms” – This report details efforts made by the Workgroup in 2014-2015.  As a newly created PA State Roundtable workgroup, most work centered on exploring trauma and ways to become trauma-informed.  The Workgroup brought forth principles of trauma-informed systems, information about trauma treatment providers within the managed care system, and developed a survey for dependency/child welfare professionals regarding views on trauma and needs that could inform future trainings.  Click the picture on the right to access the 2015 State Roundtable Report.
