Pennsylvania’s Permanency Practice Initiative (PPI) is a strength-based approach that brings enhanced judicial oversight to dependency cases.

Ultimately, this increases the number of children that are safely maintained in their own homes. In cases where this is not possible, the PPI guarantees an expedited finalization of a permanent plan. The PPI occurred from 2008-2017. The PPI ended with the creation of the Family Engagement Initiative (FEI). The PPI components are the foundation of the FEI. Click here to learn more about the FEI.
