Common Pleas Case Management
In 2008, county dependency courts began utilizing the Common Pleas Case Management System (CPCMS) to create court orders and collect data on dependency cases. By 2010, all 67 counties were actively entering dependency cases into the system. In 2011, the PA State Roundtable identified common concerns surrounding the quality and integrity of dependency data being collected. The State Roundtable commissioned the CPCMS Users Group to identify concerns with the initial data and to work closely with the Administrative Office of PA Courts to develop solutions to data reliability issues. The Users Group was chaired by the Honorable Brian Johnson, Court of Common Pleas of Lehigh County. Group membership represented courts, clerk of court offices and child welfare professionals. The Users Group was active from 2011-2013 and offered a series of recommendations to address system enhancements and modifications. The group disbanded in 2013 after successfully completing their tasks.
