Sean Lazarus

Judicial Program Analyst

Sean Lazarus is a Licensed Social Worker who graduated from York College of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Masters in Social Work from Millersville University. Sean began his child welfare and juvenile justice career in 2007 with JusticeWorks YouthCare, a private provider serving dependent and delinquent youth. In 2015 Sean was promoted to Program Manager, overseeing various child welfare and juvenile justice programs in Central Pennsylvania. These programs focused on truancy, parenting, crisis response, and cognitive self-change. Sean has extensive experience with the Family Engagement Initiative (FEI) as a local County Children’s Roundtable member and a FEI Oversight Team member. 

In 2018, Sean was presented the President’s Award by the Juvenile Detention Centers and Alternative Programs (JDCAP) of Pennsylvania. Sean has conducted statewide presentations on building effective provider-stakeholder relationships and utilizing Family Group Decision-Making as a crisis response to increase kinship placements.
